Wet Your Appetite With This "Liquid" Lunch

Remember when I told you about the amazing breakfast bowls I had in Santa Barbara? Now us envious Angelenos have an option of our own.

Liquid on Melrose is a new smoothie/acai bowl/juicery serving up some awesome breakfast, lunch, and snack stuff that will make your mouth water.

I stopped in to try it out this weekend and I was impressed.

Much like Backyard Bowls and the one I created, Liquid uses frozen fruit, almond milk, and hemp as a blended base for their tasty toppings like granola, fresh fruit, and honey.

I passed on the hemp oil and honey in mine to keep the cal count low. Unfortunately they don't have the nutrition stats listed yet, but you can estimate since all the ingredients are listed.

But the bowls aren't all they have to offer. Their fresh pressed juices and wellness shots are the perfect way to pack a ton of vitamins and nutrients into your diet. Blends like beets, carrots, and ginger go for about $7, which is pricey but well worth it.

Additionally, the company is dedicated to keeping our planet beautiful by selling a variety of eco-friendly houseware like living walls, green roofs, sustainable architecture, restoration, furniture, solar energy, doors and windows.
