Weigh in Wednesday: Jenny McCarthy & Colonics

Weigh in Wednesday's are where you tell me your opinion on trends in Hollywood...

Last night on Chelsea Lately, Handler had her close friend and Love in the Wild host Jenny McCarthy on the show.

McCarthy looked fabulous in a tight pink dress, and if you've seen her recent Playboy spread, you know it wasn't because she was wearing Spanx.

At 39, and with a 10-year-old son, Jenny's abs are still as flat as a Victoria's Secret model.

So has how this hot mama kept the body and waist of of teenager?

Well one reason may be her regular colonics. For those who don't know, a colonic is a process where warm water is inserted into the rectum in order to flush out anything up there that's plugging you up.

Here's a step-by-step description of a colonic (do not read while eating).

I know what you're thinking, "Gross. Why are you talking about this?"

Well, McCarthy and many other celebs swear by them. Stars like Jennifer Aniston, Kate Beckinsale, and even Usher have admitted to getting colonics.

Supposedly colonics not only cleanse the system but can also promote weight loss, improve metabolic functioning, and give you increased energy.

It sounds like a lot of bull to me. But, if celebs who can afford the best of the best when it comes to weight loss seem to think this is beneficial, is it?

I've never tried it so I don't know.

Many doctors bash the treatment though, saying it is unnecessary and even dangerous.

Weigh in:

Have you ever had a colonic? What did you think? Was it life changing? Horrible? The best thing that ever happened to you? Or are Jenny McCarthy and the rest of them a bunch of quacks?
