Weigh Low: Burgers & Fries

Sorry if I got your hopes up guys, but I'm talking about turkey burgers and zucchini fries.

They both taste just as fabulous as the greasy, salty alternatives though. Well, maybe not just a fabulous, but as close as you can get and still fit in your skinnies.

If you have a man at home, or a picky junk-food loving sister visiting like I did this weekend, this is the perfect meal to satisfy your healthy needs and someone else's cravings for comfort.

It's super easy too.

Ingredients:

For burgers:

Trader Joe's Turkey Burgers (180 cals)
Whole Wheat Buns (or bread if you don't have any like me) (90)

For Fries:

2 Zucchini Squash (25 per serving, makes 4)
2 Egg Whites (8)
1/2 C. Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs (45)

Directions:

1. For the turkey burgers, simply grill each patty for about 4-5 minutes per side in a non-stick pan on the stovetop. Serve on bun/bread with lettuce, tomato, etc.

2. For the fries, set the oven to 450.

3. Cut the zucchini's lengthwise. Then cut in half, and cut each half into 4 slices.

4. Beat the egg whites. Dip each zucchini fry into the whites then into the bread crumbs.

5. Place fries on a baking sheet sprayed with Pam, and cook for about 15-20 minutes, flipping half way through.

Total Calories: 350 per serving (will vary based on bun type)

Now I gotta go... Bachelor Pad is starting soon and I'm dying to see which pseudo-celeb is going to lose their sh*t next.

Enjoy!
