Last night was Katie's last evening in Los Angeles and as a goodbye gift, she made me an amazing dessert: Grilled Peaches and Cream.
Katie is in culinary school and she makes fabulous dishes. Because she knows I'm a low-cal freak, she picked this delicious, but healthy, dessert.
Though it looks like a calorie bomb with the "ice cream," it's actually just a scoop of low-cal froyo. The rest is simply an organic peach we picked up at the WeHo Farmer's Market yesterday, drizzled with balsamic vinegar to give it a nice kick.
Check out the super easy directions:
Grilled Peaches & Cream
1. Wash peaches and slice in half.
2. Lay peaches face down on a BBQ, or in our case, a George Forman grill.
3. Grill for about 15 minutes, or until soft.
4. Drizzle with a tasty balsamic vinegar and top with your favorite low-cal frozen yogurt, ice cream, or ricotta cheese.
5. Top with a pretty decoration like sliced strawberries and enjoy!
Ours weighed in at about 60 calories each. The low-cal froyo is from my favorite shop Toppers, and only 8 calories an ounce. Insane.
