Alright, fine. Eat it if you want. I'm not hear to lecture you, especially considering how many pieces of candy corn I consumed over the past week (those things are like Breaking Bad's blue meth).
But knowledge is power, so I thought I'd arm you with some tonight as you head out to your Halloween parties, and into a sea of snickers bars.
If you're going to eat candy, here's the rundown of the nutritional info for some of your favorites, as well as some healthy alternatives.
Twix Minis (3 pieces): 150 calories, 7 grams of fat (3 saturated), 15 grams of sugar (Dancing with the Stars' Kelly Monaco told me these are her favorite, mine too)
Reeses (1 Regular Package): 210 cals, 13 g. fat (4.5), 21 g. sugar (5 protein)
Skittles Fun Size (15 pieces): 61 cals, 1/2 g. fat, 11 g. sugar
Snickers Fun Size (2 bars): 160 cals, 8 g. fat (3), 17 g. sugar (3 protein)
3 Musketeers Fun Size (3 bars): 190 cals, 6 g. fat (4), 30 g. sugar
Candy Corn (19 pieces): 140 cals, 0 fat, 32 g. sugar
Looking over these stats, you don't really have any "good" options. They all are either packed with fat or loaded with sugar. So what should you do? Probably not eat them. But if you're going to, here's my advice:
1. Balance your candy with your meal. If you're going to have Starburst, Skittles, or Candy Corn, skip the carbs at dinner and load up on some lean protein. All three have no protein or fat.
2. Make it a meal. Reeses has 5 grams of protein and some healthy fat from the peanut butter, and the Snickers has 3 grams of protein. So count your candy as your dinner and serve with a side of veggies. Mmmm.
3. Stick to the portion sizes! One little fun size bar at the end of the evening is not going to kill you. Enjoy it, then throw the rest of your spoils away (before you start downing them like Britney Spears downs Frappachinnos).

Healthy alternatives:
If you like Snickers try...organic dark chocolate with almonds.
If you like Starburst try...dried unsweetened fruits.
If you like Reeses try...a spoonful of almond butter and a drizzle of dark chocolate.
