Eating out is fun. But ordering the steamed chicken breast and vegetables with no oil, no butter, and no taste is not.
Here to save you from a lifeless meal, but not sacrifice your svelte figure, is Fitrition Cafe on Santa Monica.
This fabulous little eatery has tons of healthy lunch and dinner options, all around 300 calories. They use no added oil, no added sugar, no added salt, no high-fructose corn syrup, no trans-fats, no artificial dyes and never cook with butter, cream, or full fat mayo.
And unlike most places where you have to guess how many cals are in your pasta carbonara, Fitrition provides the nutritional info for you, right on glass in front of the mouth watering display.
This came in helpful, as I would have way overestimated the cal-count on their amazing Lasagna.
This fabulous dish is vegetarian and made from whole wheat pasta, vegetables, tofu, Parmesan, and walnuts. It tastes just as good as it looks and will only cost you about 300 calories.
I split with the bf, so we also tried out their Chicken Breast (no oil, but a fabulous low calorie fig glaze), Organic Red Quinoa with Veggies, and the Whole Wheat Cous Cous Vegetable Salad.
Everything was absolutely delicious.
Some other must mentions are the Turkey Bolognese, their Chicken Curry (made with de-fatted Coconut Milk), and the Grilled Brussel Sprouts with Cranberries and Shaved Parmesan.
They also have a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and protein shakes.
But that's not all. Fitrition wants you to eat healthy all the time.
Their "Get Fit, Stay Fit" nutrition program will provide you with healthy meals made fresh daily.
They have three different options with the cheapest only adding up to about $28 a day-way lower than most meal delivery services.
