More and more Doctors are changing their tune. The "low fat" diet recommendation (started in the 80's) has proven to be wrong and the tide is turning.
This article contains information and numerous videos about the "new" recommendation of consuming a low carb, high fat diet!
I say "new" because it is new to the medical profession and mainstream media. It is actually a recommendation that was also made in the 80's, but ignored in favor of the standard Food Guide (Pyramid).
The result of the low fat recommendation is the alarming rate of obesity and other health problems now prevalent in North America and other countries consuming the typical North American diet.
It is not new to me. I learned of the low carb diet recommendation 10 years ago, changed the way I ate, and my health has drastically improved since then. My Doctor couldn't understand (initially) how my health improved so much while eating a high fat, low carb diet. In the last couple years, he has also come to "see the light" and his own health has improved!
